v0.2.0 Update

This update makes food choices more important and the overall escape more tense.

* Added a floor food system: each spin places food on the floor.

* You can now eat food or use **Reject** to clear it.

* Rejecting food costs the same time as eating it, so every food choice matters.

* Opening a door now clears all remaining floor food with no extra penalty.

* Resting has been reworked into a stronger risk-management tool.

* Active rest costs 35 seconds, while forced overfull rest costs 120 seconds.

* Food calories, fullness, time cost, and key fragment chances have been rebalanced.

* The game is now slightly harder, with faster early weight gain.

* HELP text, warnings, floating messages, and floor food UI have been improved.

Spin. Eat. Survive.

**The Devil’s Roulette** is a tense roulette escape game inspired by my original weight gain story, *The Devil’s Roulette*.

Trapped inside the devil’s judgment room, you must spin the roulette, eat food, collect key fragments, and escape through 5 doors before time runs out.

Each spin places food on the floor. Eating food may give you key fragments, but every bite costs time, raises fullness, and adds calories. You can also reject food to clear it, but rejecting still costs time.

Resting can lower fullness, but it also burns precious seconds and digests calories into weight.

The challenge is balancing risk and survival. Eating more gives you more chances to find keys, but it also makes you fuller, heavier, and slower. Rejecting food can keep the floor under control, but the timer keeps moving. Resting helps you recover, but using it at the wrong time can cost you the run.

If time runs out, or your weight rises too far before the final escape, the devil wins.

Needs a gallery option, I'd suggest escaping = unlock all images, fail = unlock images that were obtained in that run

the game is too hard now. key chances are too low, it's nearly impossible to escape, unless I am missing something?

Is there no option to download this game locally? I’d like to download it to my computer to play.

This has to be some kind of kink right?

Is there a reason why the images don't load?
I've tried in multiple browsers, but it's all the same. Nothing is shown.

Thanks for reporting this! The image loading issue should be fixed now.

Please try refreshing the page. If it still looks broken, a hard refresh / clearing the browser cache may help.

Sorry for the trouble, and thanks for letting me know!

Same here too. I wish the developer would fix it. I have a game myself I am working on anyways, too. I have been trying to solve bugs with my game's code, and I made a lot of updates over the last three days. Anyways, great game. I liked it.

Thanks for the detailed comment! The image loading issue should be fixed now.

Also, good luck with your own game project — bug fixing can be painful, but it’s part of the process. Thanks for playing, and I’m glad you liked the game!

Are there supposed to be any... decisions in this "strategy" game?

You can't not eat something once it's on the floor, and it doesn't matter what order you eat things in, so having there be a separate step to click on one of the food items is just wasting time for no benefit.

Choosing when to rest is likewise not an actual decision, because you can't avoid doing it, the end of each level applies the effects of fullness automatically, and the penalty for not pressing the button often enough or pressing it too soon is that it just happens anyway... but slower.

Really feels like you told the AI to "add more mechanics" without putting any thought into what those were. Ultimately the only thing the "player" does is press the spin button and then wait for the wheel to stop spinning.

Thanks for the detailed feedback. You’re right that some of the current mechanics don’t create enough meaningful decisions yet.

I’ll take this into account and rework the game so choosing food, resting, and opening doors have clearer trade-offs instead of feeling like extra steps.

I appreciate you pointing this out. It helps me see where the design needs improvement.
